Permission-based E-Mail Ads ("e-mail blast")

Pharma Marketing News subscribers and registered Pharma Marketing Network members ("subscribers") are qualified pharmaceutical industry professionals who have opted-in to receive a limited number of highly-relevant promotional announcements via e-mail, pdf versions of the newsletter, and wireless technology.

An e-mail ad (also known as an "e-mail blast") is a quick and inexpensive way to get your promotional message to these professionals. This e-mail message is 100% DEDICATED to your ad. The "sender" is identified as the "list owner," a trusted source who assures that promotions are relevant to the interests of subscribers who agreed to receive such messages in exchange for free services (e.g., free newsletter subscription).

OUR SURVEY of members revealed that the vast majority think providing relevant, paid promotional ads is an important feature of our service.

E-mail ads are:

  • Targeted - Your dedicated e-mail ad reaches a list of very targeted, qualified pharmaceutical marketing and sales professionals.
  • Dedicated - The e-mail ad is 100% dedicated to your message and the e-mail subject line reflects the content of your message.
  • Detailed - E-mail ads can be of any length, although we suggest that they not exceed 600-900 words or one to two typewritten pages. This is sufficient to include plenty of detailed information.
  • Immediate - E-mail ads can be scheduled within 24 hours of confirmation of your order and receipt of copy. The number of such ads are limited, so get your order in quickly to reserve a slot in the schedule.
  • HTML Formatted and/or Text-only - Send polished, professional graphic e-mail ads that include your logo, product photos, Web links, etc. We can design and create your HTML ad, if necessary, for an additional fee. We deliver the appropriate version, HTML or text-only, to subscribers based upon their preferences and e-mail client setup.
  • Web Link Enabled - Both text-only and HTML-formatted e-mail ads may include links to Web pages.
  • Trackable - We track and report open rates for HTML ads and the performance - click-through rate - of each link in your HTML or text ad.

Advertorial Newsletter Articles

The best kind of promotion is an unbiased story featuring or mentioning your product or service. Pharma Marketing News is a perfect vehicle for such articles. Many thousands of registered newsletter subscribers and visitors to the Pharma Marketing Network Web site have FREE access to the full text of your article as soon as it is published. Keep in mind that the story is non-promotional. It does not make a pitch for your product or service nor does it have any call to action or pricing information. Its primary purpose is to inform our readers and provide brand recognition for your product or service. Your logo and contact information are included in the co-branded reprint version, which you can order in electronic (pdf) or print form. Banner Ads

Pharma Marketing Network has many popular pages where classic banner ads (468 x 60 pixels) can be placed to announce conferences or promote companies, products, or services. Banner ads on Pharma Marketing Network are used most often in combination with other promotional options in Ad Campaigns (see Ad Campaign Packages).

Newsletter Display Ads

A quarter-page, half-page, or full-page ad inserted in the Pharma Marketing News newsletter is an excellent option for event and product announcements that include logos, product images, etc. The full-text version of Pharma Marketing News is a printable PDF publication downloaded by subscribers. Because subscribers often distribute copies of the newsletter to their colleagues, ads are seen potentially by many more people than are subscribed to the service. Every month, subscribers also receive an e-mail executive summary of the newsletter in HTML or text format. This summary provides links to the full pdf version of the newsletter. You can increase exposure by inserting a Banner Ad into this executive summary. This way, your ad gets double exposure -- once in the executive summary (where ckicks are trackable) and once in the full pdf version.

Newsletter Ads are:

  • Graphical - can include graphics, logos, and text within a composite design.
  • Includes Web Links - you can link to Web pages and further information (ideal for meeting announcements and access to registration forms).
  • Great ROI! - Each issue of the newsletter may be downloaded by thousands of Pharma Marketing Network visitors (unregistered and registered) while it is available on the site. Thus, your newsletter ad costs pennies per view (request the Rate Card for pricing information).

Specifications: Pharma Marketing News is published the third week of every month. Copy should be submitted by the end of the first week of the month of the scheduled issue date. We accept copy in Word or graphical (JPG or TIF) format. Half-page ads are 6" (wide) x 4" (high); quarter-page ads are 3" (wide) x 4" (high).

Web Page Ads

A Web Page Ad, accessible via top-level menu pages (categories include: Meetings/Events, Jobs, Vendor Directory, and Resources) is a perfect way to promote your company, products and services, events, or job openings to a targeted audience of pharmaceutical professionals. Pharma Marketing Network Web pages have high visibility on top search engines such as Google and Yahoo! and are accessible to both registered and unregistered visitors to the site.

A Web Page Ad is:

  • Graphical - includes logos and other graphics.
  • Includes Web Links - you can link to your Web site for brochures, further information, and registration forms.
  • Long-lasting - Job listings run for one month (renewable) and listings for events run until the event date (the earlier you sign up, the longer the listing is available for a single flat rate). Other pages are hosted under a 6-month or 1-year subscription plan (e.g., see Vendor Directory).
  • Dedicated - each job or event has its own unique Web page so that views can be tracked for each specific event or job.
  • Inexpensive - low flat rates and 1-month, 6-month or 1-year term rates are available (see specific categories below; Request the Rate Card for pricing information).

Conference Promotional Opportunities

Pharma Marketing Network's mission is to help individual members advance their careers through networking, sharing resources, and continuing professional education. To that end, we partner with many of the major commercial pharmaceutical conference producers to promote their conferences, forums, and seminars through the Network.

The Pharma Marketing Meetings top-level menu page is a highly visible page on search engines such as Google (number one for searches on "Pharmaceutical Marketing Meetings"). Listing your conference on this page, including a link to a dedicated Web Page Ad, will give your conference or other event greater search engine visibility and lead to increased registrations.

The top-level conference menu page lists conferences in chronological order. You can enhance your listing by including a logo, bold text, requesting a listing at the top, or combining the listing with a banner ad.

CONFERENCE CALENDAR UPDATES
Every 2 weeks, an e-mail Conference Calendar Update is sent to all Pharma Marketing News subscribers. The Update is the same list of conferences that appear on the Meeting Page on the Pharma Marketing Network Web site. Each conference is linked to its specific dedicated Web Page Ad on the site. This helps drive traffic to these ad pages and to your conference.

You can enhance your conference's listing in the Conference Calendar Update by including a 30-50 word paragraph highlighting a specific feature of your conference (keynote address, discount offer, etc.) and linking directly to your conference site.

Event Announcement Package

An event such as a live conference, audio teleconference, or online Web cast is usually planned well in advance and has a set date. The Event Announcement Package is designed to give your event maximum exposure to Pharma Marketing News subscribers and visitors to the Pharma Marketing Network Web site up to the event date. Coordinated E-mail Ads, Banner Ads, and Newsletter Ads are timed to deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time.

Our Event Announcement Packages include:

  • A Web Page Ad on the Pharma Marketing Network Web site. A link to your dedicated page appears in the chronological list of events on the Meetings Page. For an additional fee, you can include a meeting icon in your listing or order a banner ad at the top of the page. As soon as we get your copy we create the page, which remains accessible until the event date.

  • Dedicated E-mail Ad(s) sent to Pharma Marketing News opt-in subscribers. You may order one or two e-mail ads. We schedule the e-mail campaign to reach our subscribers at the most opportune time so it is most likely to be read and acted upon. You can suggest the exact timing of messages to suit your particular need.

  • Listing in bi-weekly CONFERENCE CALENDAR UPDATE (see above). Your conference gets multiple exposures. You can enhance your listing in the Calendar Update by including a short paragraph highlighting a special feature of your event and linking directly to your conference Web site.
