John Mack John Mack is an experienced executive with a background in pharmaceutical marketing communications, interactive technologies, and medical privacy.

Mr. Mack is currently a principal consultant with VirSci Corporation, where he provides global pharmaceutical and health care industry clients with marketing communications, competitive market intelligence, and privacy/security consulting services. Previously, Mr. Mack was a consultant in the Life Sciences Practice at Answerthink, where he managed projects such as pharmaceutical DTC and physician web site development, privacy policy assessments, and HIPAA awareness workshops for healthcare providers. Mr. Mack also created and managed PharmInfoNet, a privately owned "Top 20 Health Site" focused on drug information content and databases for physicians and pharmacists. In 1999, he sold this web site to Mediconsult and became their Director of Drug Information.

Mr. Mack often provides expert testimony and advice regarding HIPAA and privacy issues and he is a prolific author and speaker in these and other topic areas (see Publications and Presentations). As one of the leading authorities on standards for quality and privacy of health information on the Net, Mr. Mack is quoted often in the media (including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, etc.), has lectured extensively, and is a member of numerous e-health related advisory boards and committees.

Harry Sweeney's career spans 40 years and includes a wide range of experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics, distribution channels and healthcare institutional promotion. He has been a sales rep, a writer, a creative director, and the cofounder of a health communications agency that has established firm roots and credentials in an ever-changing field.

Today, Harry provides business counsel, strategic marketing advice, and creative campaign planning for Dorland clients and also oversees the business management of the agency as its CEO. Always striving to better serve the agency's clients, Harry is passionate about keeping Dorland on the cutting edge of today's constantly evolving communications technology.

Harry is a past president of the Healthcare Marketing Communications Council and has served in a variety of offices in HMCC and its predecessor, the Pharmaceutical Advertising Council. He has been an active member of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (Four As) for 25 years, serving as Chairman of the Philadelphia Council, and cofounder and Chairman of the Medical Advertising Committee. He presently serves as a member of the AAAA Government Relations Committee and its political action committee, AdPac. Harry also is a founder and Board member of the Coalition for Healthcare Communications and the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame.

Harry writes, lectures, and speaks regularly to health marketers on communications and health policy topics, both domestically and abroad. He has testified at government hearings and has met with elected officials and regulatory personnel to discuss and resolve health communications policy issues. Harry holds two degrees: a BS in biology from Villanova University, and a JD from New York University School of Law.

Richard Vanderveer A consumer and industrial psychologist, Dr. Vanderveer's career in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning the last 35 years, has earned him recognition as a leading industry expert in the development of product positioning, promotional platforms and physician segmentation. Dr. Vanderveer has conducted research and consulted on all major therapeutic categories, healthcare markets and product areas. Along the way, he has pioneered such approaches as physician micromarketing, Information Architecturetm and Strategic Account ManagementTM, which served as vehicles to help clients sell hundreds of millions of dollars worth of prescription pharmaceutical agents more cost effectively.

He has created and run three companies. His former companies include The Vanderveer Group (now TVG) and Physician Micromarketing, Inc. V2 is now Dr. Vanderveer's only company, which he has built into the leading pharmaceutical marketing research firm in the United States.
