Mission & Topics

The Pharma Marketing Network Roundtable (PMN Roundtable) is an EXCLUSIVE, members-only Web-based forum/discussion group where pharmaceutical marketing experts "meet" to discuss and exchange views on topics of interest to pharmaceutical marketing and sales professionals.

The PMN Roundtable started as a series of periodic teleconference calls in which a few experts were invited to participate. Each call focused on specific topic (see topics here).

The PMN Roundtable hasn't met by phone for some time. Primarily, that’s because of (1) the expense, and (2) the difficulty of scheduling a quorum for a realtime discussion.

Both of these problems were overcome by shifting the discussion online in a special Pharma Marketing Roundtable Forum, which is a private, password-protected discussion area within the Forums at Pharma Marketing Network. Just like the previous incarnation of the Roundtable, this forum will host discussions for members only.

Topics Discussed
Topics for discussion are determined by PM Roundtable members and/or the Editor of Pharma Marketing News. Topics cover the following general areas of pharmaceutical marketing:

• Key Opinion Leader Management/Medical Science Liaison
• Sales Force Effectiveness
• Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Advertising & Marketing

• Regulatory Compliance

In addition, other topics relating career development and generating new business will be on the agenda of the Roundtable.

Edited transcripts of selected PMN Roundtable discussions will be offered to the Pharma Marketing Network Community to share the knowledge and experience of Roundtable experts with a wider audience. This knowledge will be distributed via articles in Pharma Marketing News, postings to Pharma Marketing Blog, special supplements, reports, white papers, webinars, podcasts and other publishing venues of the Pharma Marketing Network (see Archive of Past Roundtable Discussions).

With permission, members may be quoted in these publications and thereby obtain exposure as experts throughout the Network. Quotes will be taken directly from the Roundtable discussions and follow-up interviews, if necessary. All experts quoted will have the opportunity to review articles in which they are quoted.

Archive of Past Roundtable Discussions

PMN Roundtable Members include professionals working within pharmaceutical companies as well as in advertising agencies, medical communications companies, and other pharmaceutical vendor companies. Only select and highly qualified pharma marketing professionals are invited to be members of the PMN Roundtable by the Editor of Pharma Marketing News. Members are chosen to provide the widest, most knowledgeable coverage of the issues of importance to the Pharma Marketing Network Community.

• Roundtable members may supply data or content for use in Pharma Marketing News articles and/or Pharma Marketing Blog posts. Proper attribution will be granted.
• Listed as PM Roundtable members in all promotional materials and on the Pharma Marketing Roundtable web site (opt in required)

TERMS & CONDITIONS of Membership

Obligations of Members
Periodically, a specific topic of interest will be posted to the Roundtable Forum by the assigned Roundtable Leader. Roundtable members may be polled for topics to discuss beforehand. Topics are also proposed by members themselves.

Members are encouraged to respond to any topic currently available for discussion. This can be done at any time at the member's convenience simply by logging on to Forums and entering the PMN Roundtable Forum. A password is required.

The Roundtable leader in association with PMN is responsible for assembling background material and/or questions for the discussion. Questions and background will also be solicited via surveys of the Pharma Marketing Network Community. These materials are distributed to all Roundtable members.

PMN Roundtable Forum discussions may be edited for distribution via the Pharma Marketing Network community, including articles with Pharma Marketing News. Roundtable members who are quoted in these edited and re-published versions of discussions will be identified by name only if they give their permission.
