Case Study - Gauging Physician Behavior and CE Impact with Two-Way, Real Time, Web-Based Technology
Medical Society CME for Increasing the Reach and Participation of Online Education
Medical Societies offer a unique venue for the promulgation of important medical information and education. When a pharma company has clinical data and information that qualify, a society website can focus that education to an audience more likely to participate in and benefit from the program.

Client Need
Client is late entrant to an established market and faces a major competitor holding dom-inant market share. The immediate need was to assess physician attitudes and inclinations to accept a new and more effective treatment. A secondary need was to develop a viable and valid CME campaign for disease state and treatment options information.
Solution
(Product Description)
ACI/Rievent partnered with a national pediatric professional medical society to devise an interactive EducationEngineTM needs assessment, distributed to a 10K+ highly-specialized pediatric practitioner cohort. Society participation was authorized based on the needs assessment conducted by Rievent and ACI and sponsored by the pharma client.
Outcomes showed a need for and desirability of an education campaign focused to pediatric disease specialists as well as an awareness campaign of treatment options for pediatricians globally (n= 60,000+).
Results
Based on survey results and real-time data received, client and society agreed on a sequential series of CME programs incorporating the EducationEngineTM platform on the disease state and treatment options for pediatricians with a focus on pediatric specialists.

Comments
"ACI and Rievent's web-based educational model demonstrates a highly sophisticated, yet intuitive ability to provide state-of-the-art real time data on knowledge needs, how the practitioner implements the knowledge to affect quality patient outcomes and further provides valuable information on participant attitudes and behaviors for future program development. This is a cutting-edge 21st century educational model for robust web-based online education.""
