Reuter’s Pharma USA 2022 was truly awesome. It feels great to finally get back “in person” and see people again. There was a strong showing of clients and a full agenda of great presentations. One of the overall themes that emerged based on the numerous case studies, examples, and presentations is that pharma has not been sitting still during COVID. Quite the opposite. Pharma’s innovation, particularly towards data and digital transformation was clearly accelerated by COVID and their results speak for themselves.

Some highlights from Pharma USA 2022:

Amy Garrison from GSK gave a great talk on how Blenrep (whose big launch meeting was delayed, and ultimately canceled due to the COVID outbreak back in March 2020), pulled off what may be the fasted launch from approval to assets in the field of pharma drug ever. In just 4.5 hours after receiving FDA approval, GSK had 4 websites launched and live, and 72 assets completed and deployed. Within 12-hours of receiving FDA approval, they had their field reps trained on the product and had educated 54 KOLs. That’s speed to market!

Dan Rothman of Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma gave a great presentation about the best ways to integrate your technical and data teams into the teams of the rest of the organization and the truly integrated and useful data-oriented dashboards and tools that can come about when you integrate your teams more closely.

Kumar Ritwik of ZS Pharma showcased the importance of AI and using modular content to truly customize and personalize information to the point where “less is more” in terms of engaging with your HCPs in ways they respond to.
